Clean A Sony Cybershot

Clean a Sony Cybershot

When you unwrap a Sony Cyber-shot as a birthday or holiday gift, your camera comes out of the package in pristine condition. But as any camera enthusiast knows, using it over time causes fingerprints and smudges to accumulate on the camera lens, view finder, or body. Cleaning a Sony Cyber-shot requires only a few household items and perhaps some supplies from the photo store. Taking these steps will enable your Sony Cyber-shot camera, within a few minutes, to be returned to its out-of-the-box shape.

Instructions

1. Purchase an LCD cleaning kit at your local photo supply shop. Turn Sony Cyber-shot camera off. Unfold a microfiber cloth contained in the LCD cleaning kit and spray cleaning solution contained in the kit onto the cloth. Rub LCD screen with moistened microfiber cloth in a circular motion to remove any smudges or fingerprints on the LCD screen on the back of your camera.

2. Turn you attention to the body of the camera. Look for any dirty smudges. Moisten a clean cloth with hot water and gently remove those blemishes. Use a dry cloth to dry the areas of the body that you cleaned.

3. Wipe the lens with a dry soft cloth to remove any fingerprints, smudges or dust. Avoid touching the screen with your fingers because that will leave oily fingerprints. Do not spray any type of cleaner directly onto the lens.
