Bicyclists who use a GPS want to be able to see their locations and mapping information while they are riding. To avoid fumbling around in pockets or bags to find your GPS, install a mount to the handlebars of your bike. A GPS handlebar mount is inexpensive, easy to install and durable enough for even the roughest terrain.

Mount a GPS to Your Bicycle Handlebars
1. Clean your bicycle handlebars with a damp paper towel prior to installation. Dry with additional toweling. This will eliminate any grease or dust and will reduce slippage.
2. Open the handlebar mount package and confirm you have all the pieces that are supposed to be included. The instructions should list all the necessary parts.
3. Read the entire instruction booklet before attempting to install the GPS mount. You'll want to make sure you understand all the steps before you proceed. If something is unclear, contact customer service rather than risk damaging the mount.
4. Slip the handlebars through the clamp-type part of the mount.
5. Use rubber inserts, if necessary, to pad the inside of the mount. Some manufacturers supply you with this material to use with smaller-sized handlebars.
6. Tighten the mount to the required degree with a screwdriver and screws. It should not be able to turn around the handlebars.
7. Snap the top part of the mount onto the section that you have already attached to the bicycle.
8. Remove the battery cover from your GPS and store it in a safe place for later use.
9. Fit the GPS into the top section of the mount. It should slide in easily and temporarily replace the battery cover.
