Open A Vivitar 285

The Vivitar 285 can be easily opened for routine tasks.

The Vivitar 285 is an older model of external flash designed for traditional film cameras. Due to the model's age, finding support online for it may be difficult. Required tasks, such as opening the flash to replace the batteries, may become guesswork. Fortunately, websites are available that offer PDF versions of older flash manuals. Opening the Vivitar 285 to replace the batteries is an easy task. However, opening the flash for any other purpose can damage the flash. Consult a repair service for any sophisticated adjustments.

Instructions

3. Reinsert the battery holder into the slot. Slide the battery cover shut by gently pushing the far edge of the cover.
