The Beltronics 906 radar detector picks up radar detectors and transmitters within its range. Once you've set up the detector and mounted it to your car, you might have questions about its basic functions.
Power
Push the "Power" button, located on the left edge of the device. A test sequence will begin. If the "Power" button is pushed a second time the test sequence will be skipped. Hold down the "Power" button to cycle through different audio levels. Release the button when you reach the volume level of your preference.
Activation
Push the "CTY" button and "Power" button at the same time. A beep will sound and the X LED light will illuminate in amber. The radar detector is active with the Safety Warning System (SWS). The SWS setting detects signals from SWS transmitters and alerts you to their presence.
Dimness
Push the "DRK" button to make the LED lights of the 906 dimmer. If the "DRK" button is pushed a second time, the lights will go completely dark.
Alert Frequency
Push the "CTY" button to lower the number of alerts when you are traveling through a heavily populated city, or an area with many door or intrusion alarms.
