Panasonic is one of the more popular makers of camcorders. Not only has Panasonic been in the business for a long time, but they are also consistently pushing themselves and competitors to make better camcorders. For example, Panasonic made one of the first hard drive HD camcorders available for everyday consumers. Although Panasonic camcorders vary, there are some similarities in how they operate.
Instructions
1. Turn the camera on by locating the "On/Off" button on the top of the camcorder. In order to switch the button into the "On" position, you must press and hold the button in the middle of the switch and then move the button over to the "On" position. The camera is turned off by holding the button and pushing the switch back to the "Off" position.
2. Insert the disc or cassette for the camcorder by sliding the "Disc Eject" lever to the side and releasing it. This will partially open the compartment. Use your hand to lift out on the compartment all the way. If using a cassette, slide it into place in the compartment. If using a disc, place it into the holder. Push where it says "Push Close" to close the camcorder.
3. Record motion pictures by moving the mode dial to the icon that looks like a movie camera. After the dial has been moved into the proper position, simply press the red recording "Stop/Start" button that is located on the back of the camera.
4. Record still pictures by moving the dial to the icon that looks like a camera. On the top of the camera, press the "photo shoot" button down halfway. This will allow the camera to focus. After the camera has focused, press the button the rest of the way down to take a picture.
5. To play back video and audio recorded by the camera, move the dial to the icon that looks like a play button. A number of scenes will appear on the LCD screen. Press the middle of the joystick and then use the up, down, left and right functions to select the scene you want to view. Push the middle of the joystick again to view the video.
