The Nikon EN-EL3e is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery to use with digital SLR cameras that Japanese optics/imaging products company Nikon Corporation manufactures. The battery comes with a 30-day limited warranty, and is available for purchase at several retail stores.
Main Features
The Nikon EN-EL3e has a power capacity of 7.4 volts and 1500 mAh. The battery can be charged using a Nikon's MH-18a or MH-18 Quick Charger, or a MH-19 Multi-Charger.
Compatibility
The cameras that are compatible with the EN-EL3e are the Nikon D50, D70, D70S, D80, D90, D100, and D200. Also, the battery can be used with the MB-D200 Multi-Power Battery Pack, which is designed to hold two rechargeable batteries to double camera shooting time.
Precautions
Nikon warns that consumers should not use the EN-EL3e battery at room temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit), or above 40 degrees Celsus (104 degrees Fahrenheit). Also, users should recharge the battery at room temperature between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius (41 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit). Failure to observe these precautions, according to Nikon, could damage the battery or compromise its performance.
