List Of Dslr Cameras

Use a DSLR camera to expand your skills.

The digital single lens reflex camera is one of the most common cameras for serious photographers because of its ability to capture a wide range of focal lengths. In the DSLR, the camera uses a mirror behind the lens to direct light toward the viewfinder when you are setting up the photo. The mirror swings out of the way, lets light travel to the sensor and blocks out the viewfinder when you release the shutter. This process allows photographers to use a large number of focal lengths without having to purchase additional viewfinder mechanisms. You can choose from a number of DSLR cameras.

Nikon D3x

Nikon offers the D3x DSLR camera, an ideal camera for the advanced DSLR user. The camera offers two shooting modes with up to 27x magnification. You can shoot five frames per second with the camera. It features 51 different autofocus points while still allowing you to focus the camera manually. The D3x also has six different shutter release modes which allows you to capture the best photos in a number of different situations.

Pentax K-5

Pentax offers the K-5 camera, a moderately priced camera for amateur DSLR shooters. The camera captures seven frames per second allowing you to capture quick shots in rapid action situations. The K-5 has 11 autofocus points and a light wavelength sensor to ensure quality photos. The camera is also fully weather sealed and resistant to water, fog, snow, sand and dust. It features a pentaprism viewfinder, common in DSLRs, for a 100 percent field of view.

Sony DSLR-A700

Sony offers the DSLR-A700. The camera is ideal for non-professional photographers looking to capture higher quality pictures. The A700 is capable of taking five pictures per second. The camera has 11 different autofocus settings, all of which work with the image stabilization feature on the camera to create crisp, clear photos. The A700 has an advanced pentaprism viewfinder which allows you to see your subject more clearly, compose the shot and adjust the focus manually.

Olympus E-30

Olympus offers the E-30 DSLR camera, an ideal camera for photographers who want to add more artistic options to their photos. The more affordable camera features six different art filters that add effects to your photos. It also features a live view while in autofocus that allows you to hold the camera away from your face at various angles and still see, before taking the picture, the effect the angle and light will have on the image.

Canon EOS Rebel T3

Canon offers the EOS Rebel T3, a good choice for photographers just beginning to use DSLR cameras. The camera offers nine different autofocus points. The autofocus adjusts between normal- and high-precision focus, depending on the aperture. Without too many options, the camera is an easier adjustment for photographers switching from basic digital cameras.
